The School Posted a Statement

“Actually, I just wanted to apologize for the embarrassment I’ve caused my school. I don’t need you to explain this for me,” Yao Tang slowly said.

“But no one knows why you’ve been taken away! I know how you’ve made such great contributions to the examination, so I won’t allow you to be slandered like this! I’ll make sure to find who has done this.”

Without waiting for her to respond, the principal already hung up.

It didn’t take long for No. 1 High School to post a message.

“Yao Tang did not participate in the college entrance exam. Her performance has been so outstanding that she has already been accepted by all the universities in advance. It is because of this that she had no need to take part in the exam. Please do not smear her reputation.”

With the post from No. 1 High School, some people were convinced.

“If the school’s already posting their statement, then that means Yao Tang’s grades must be real, right? I mean, why would they lie about Yao Tang?” “Yeah, she had fought so hard to make her school on top of everyone else. Of course they would protect her! They’re protecting their own reputation.”

The principal had assumed that his statement would deter them from slandering Yao Tang. However, he didn’t expect them to all turn on him.

The principal was so furious that he shouted for his assistant, “Find out who did this!”

“Yes.”

Soon, the assistant came back.

“Principal, we are not aware of people who had been slandering Yao Tang. They have hid their IDs behind the mainframe. It’s obvious that someone was using this account specifically to frame her.”

“So someone is purposely targeting us?”

The assistant gritted his teeth. “What happened to Yao Tang was a fuse. The other party wanted to use this as a stepping stone to tarnish our reputation! Maybe other high schools are behind this.”

“But we’ve been competing with them for such a long time.” They were all running schools. In essence, weren’t they doing this for the betterment of their student? There was no need for them to do something so immoral!

“I think someone had done it on purpose, but I don’t believe it’s them. There’s no need to cast the first stone.”

“It could be anyone,” he slowly said.

The assistant nodded. “Then what should we do?”

“Call the police.”

Soon, the police had intervened and discovered the IP addresses of the posters. However, they couldn’t verify any of their identities.

Even then, the police had announced that they had found potential suspects who had been hired to smear Yao Tang’s name.

Immediately, the voices who had accused and questioned the young woman died down. After all, no one dared to break the law. There was no way any of this was worth it.

Two weeks later, when it was time for the results to be distributed, the third-year students returned to school. When they saw Yao Tang again, they crowded around her.

“Yao Tang, do you know how difficult the exam was? I didn’t know how to do one of the steps! It’s lucky I got one right, but I couldn’t guess all the questions!”

“It’s obvious that someone had placed so much thought on the questions.”

“I wonder who is in charge of setting the questions for the college entrance examination this time. It’s like they know what we study a little too well.”
