Helpless Action

In the arena, Lu Dajiang directly wielded his massive Warhammer and moved forward.

As he got closer, upon seeing the opponent's face, Lu Dajiang immediately recognized him. "Joey Harman, it's you. Last time, we couldn't determine the winner, but it looks like we'll settle it this time, hahaha!"

Joey Harman, upon seeing Lu Dajiang, was taken aback, as he unexpectedly encountered someone he knew.

"Lu Dajiang, is that you? Didn't the rumors say that your Lighthouse Territory was destroyed? Lakon Territory even put out a bounty to find the killer. I never expected that you guys would survive. What territory do you belong to now?" Joey Harman inquired.

Upon hearing this, Lu Dajiang gave a faint smile and replied, "Well, that's a secret. I can't disclose it. I hope that, in light of our previous camaraderie, you won't reveal to the Lakon Territory the fact that you've met us."

Joey Harman grasped the notion that there appeared to be some secrecy involved but knew it wasn't as straightforward as described by the Lakon Territory.

Nonetheless, the Elf Clan had no stake in this. Regardless of how the humans from the Blue Planet and the Lakonian tangled or fought, it had no bearing on the Elf Clan.

"Alright," Joey Harman agreed. "Then let's not discuss this. Let's talk about the battle."

"Exactly." Lu Dajiang chuckled and suggested, "Let's focus on the territory battle for now. We're all friends, and it's enough to decide the winner based on the rewards. There's no need to fight to the death. Only when we're truly at the last moment of life and death, will I show some mercy, and you can surrender, how about it?"

"That's precisely my intent. If I lose later, I'll inform my companions behind me!" Joey Harman readily nodded in agreement.

"Good, then let's begin!"

As soon as Lu Dajiang finished his statement, he struck out with his enormous Warhammer towards Joey Harman.

Only moments ago, they were chatting and laughing, but in the next moment, they were engaged in a fierce battle.

However, Joey Harman was undaunted by Lu Dajiang's vigorous attack. He wielded his shield, and a purple light flashed across it, then he collided with Lu Dajiang.

Outside the arena, Liu Yan and the others closely observed the battle taking place.

However, even though the battle had already begun, Liu Yan and his companions' perception skills could not pierce the barrier. They were only able to rely on their naked eyes to assess the opponents' strengths.

Lu Dajiang possessed a combat strength of 16 stars and wielded a massive Warhammer. His fighting style leaned towards powerful, wide-ranging melee attacks.

On the other side, it was apparent that his weapon was a shield, indicating a preference for defense. Other details couldn't be ascertained.

However, through the confrontation between the two sides, they could generally gauge the opponent's capabilities.

Wei Feng observed for a while and analyzed, "Both of them possess a combat strength of 16 stars. However, the other party is at the early stage of 16 stars, while Lu Dajiang is at the late stage of 16 stars. As you can see, shortly after their clash, Lu Dajiang has already gained the upper hand. With a little more time, I reckon Lu Dajiang will confidently secure this small single battle."

Upon hearing this, the individuals behind him expressed some excitement.

Ning Shanshan added, "That's great. We can claim victory in the first small match. It's a good start, haha!"action

"Yeah, it's a good start," Liu Qingrou said with a smile.

"Nicely done!" Murong Xue added.

"Brother Lu is still incredibly strong!" Luo Wei exclaimed.

However, unlike the others, Huang Yuan didn't display much joy on his face. He shook his head and remarked, "Actually, this isn't particularly good news. While Lu Dajiang can likely secure a victory, the opponent excels in defense. I suspect that Lu Dajiang will need to invest a significant amount of time and deplete substantial stamina and energy. After winning this battle, it will probably be challenging for Lu Dajiang to win the next one. The opponent didn't intend to secure a victory in the first battle by sending out the shield warrior. They chose him as a cautious option. Simultaneously, they aimed to deplete as much stamina and energy as possible when encountering a powerhouse. From this perspective, the opponent's objective has been achieved."

Liu Yan promptly comprehended Huang Yuan's point.

From this standpoint, it seemed that Lu Dajiang had gained a strong start by winning the first small battle. Nonetheless, in practice, if the opponent deployed a robust player in the subsequent match, Lu Dajiang was almost certain to lose.

In effect, Lu Dajiang had essentially served as an exchange in this scenario with the shield warrior on the other side.

Although it was a one-for-one trade, Lu Dajiang was the second- strongest member of Team Origin, whereas the Shield Warrior on the other side was not the strongest among the ten of them.

The other side seemed to be making a more strategic exchange.

However, Ye Yifan chimed in, saying, "Even though it appears that we're at a disadvantage, there's nothing we can do about it. If we deploy our other contestants, aside from Liu Yan, it's unlikely that anyone else can defeat this shield warrior."

Alan Smith also commented, "It's already good enough that we can win. We'll work harder in the future."

"That's a valid point," Huang Yuan agreed. "Even if we can't secure this territory battle, we should aim to win several more small battles. This way, we can still earn some rewards. At the very least, we won't leave the territory battle empty-handed."

Meanwhile, in the arena, the battle raged on.

Lu Dajiang continued to wield his enormous Warhammer, utilizing powerful skills to launch relentless assaults. On the contrary, the Elf Clan opponent remained solely on the defensive, steadfastly guarding against Lu Dajiang's formidable onslaught and refraining from launching any attacks.

It was evident that he understood the futility of attempting to defeat Lu Dajiang with his strength. Therefore, from the very beginning of the battle, his primary objective had not been to defeat Lu Dajiang. Instead, he aimed to deplete Lu Dajiang's stamina and energy as much as possible, setting the stage for the next Elf Clan contestant to face a weary Lu Dajiang, making victory considerably easier.

Lu Dajiang was no stranger to single battles and was well aware of the opponent's intentions. Nevertheless, he had no alternative but to employ a vigorous offensive strategy and expeditiously eliminate the shield warrior, Joey Harman, saving his own stamina and energy to the greatest extent possible.

Even if he couldn't clinch victory in the subsequent match, Lu Dajiang was making every effort to conserve his stamina. When the time came, he would be well-equipped to wear down the next Elf Clan contestant. This would offer the second Team Origin player a chance to prevail over the second Elf Clan contestant.

The battle persisted as Lu Dajiang continued to launch relentless attacks, while Joey Harman held his shield and used defensive skills to guard against them.

Finally, after some time, Joey Harman gradually reached his limit. In order to avert any potential injuries, he ceased resisting and declared, "I concede. It's over!"

The moment Joey Harman chose to surrender, the Will of Tower immediately transported him outside the arena to prevent Lu Dajiang from causing further harm.

This was one of the advantages of single battles. As long as one conceded, the match could be concluded. This practice, at the very least, mitigated the risk of injuries or even fatalities.

Simultaneously, the voice of the Will of Tower made an announcement.

[The first small battle is won by Team Origin!]

[Please select the second contestant from the opponent's territory within one minute to continue the battle.]
